Me and mini are traveling for this week and it has been difficult to follow pcp since yesterday.
Specially food, we are having salad and fish as much as possible but since we have to eat out, we have no control on oil or salt which we consume.
Also not knowing language is difficult.
It's our first anniversary and we are travelling in Rome and Florence for this week.
Skipping is replaced by 3-4 hrs of walk in streets of Rome and we plan to do our exercises in night.
Good luck guys with your trip. Enjoy Italy and don't abuse of pasta and pizza.
ReplyDeleteI know you're on vacation but keep those walks BRISK! A slow meandering walk versus a concentrated fast walk is almost double the calorie burn!
ReplyDeleteSpeed genuflecting in the Vatican can also burn loads of calories. Hope you guys are having fun in Italy!
ReplyDeleteWhen you are in Florence, there is a giant food market in a big building immediately adjacent to the daily market. You can't miss it. Loads of fresh bread, fruits, veggies and so forth that you can get and stick to your PCP diet. I'm sure they would weigh it all out for you too!
Its called the San Lorenzo Mercato Centrale (or just Mercato Centrale) and its here on Google maps (a stone's throw from the Duomo really): http://tinyurl.com/3jaqrnz
Thank a lot,
ReplyDeleteYa Patrick, we are doing brisk walks, at least 10-15 km each day for the last 2 days, my toes feel swollen after so much walk. Will keep doing the same and finish the exercises at night.
Thanks for the suggestions Richard.
When dining out, eat lots of grilled fish, seafood etc, and ask them not to add salt to the food. You will be surprised they are quite accommodating!
ReplyDeleteTry Sora Margharita in Rome, a great Jewish-Italian place with no signage outside.
And Richard is right - the ingredients in the market are so fresh, eat lots of veggies and fruits which you can't find back home in HK (or you can but pay 4x the price in Citysuper etc).
Where are those mobile blog posts? Would like to travel vicariously through your camera.
